Grounding and Growing

I am continuously grounded by the interconnectedness with earth and all animals.

My practice is ever-changing with life’s adventures and lessons.

Ruthie (on the left) and I shared the Great Mystery Prayer every day, and now Zoey (on the right) and I continue that meaningful practice together.

Honoring the balance and alignment of everyday living is a choice.

Below are brief descriptions of offerings and information on how we can work together.

Yoga & Movement & Meditation

Oncology Yoga is an evidence-informed yoga method tailored to address the specific physical and emotional needs left by cancer and cancer treatments. It is a comprehensive yoga practice designed to mitigate the short—and long-term side effects and achieve long-term health. It is adaptable to all stages and cancer types.

Yoga has helped me discover what it truly means to connect compassionately with myself and others. After earning a B.S. in Therapeutic Recreation, I dove headfirst to study many different areas of yoga. My yoga practice is an intuitive process constantly inspired by the animals, travels, and cultures that I have been honored to experience. Kripalu Yoga was my start on the yogic path to deepening my understanding of the mind, body, and soul. The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course by Jon Kabat-Zinn showed me an approach that helps one cultivate mindfulness within oneself and in society. Another person who impacted me was Paulie Zink, the founder of Yin Yoga. His animalistic yoga style grounds the body, helps with fluidity, and focuses on the present moment. By infusing various practices, I’ve come to develop my own unique yoga style. Toni Bergins brought Journey Dance to me, which really brings movement focused on getting out of the mind and feeling from the body, heart, and soul. Very transformational!
